Ron Bell was no doubt a good lawyer. However, the fact that he had been with Yahoo for so many years is not necessarily a good thing in an industry where things change, seemingly daily. As a client of Yahoo, I often found them customer friendly but behind the curve on search, advertising, domains, website services, e-commerce, and other sub-areas where other companies have profited tremendously. Yahoo‘s was always responsive, but not often on target. It‘s not enough to say, I think, that he was just a fall guy. As GC, he was the guy on issues such as cyber security. My account was one that was breached, by the way. I took all my business across the street to providers like Google, GoDaddy, Amazon, AVG, Wix and others.
